What brings you to Omnia Community?

Omnia Community was a great opportunity for me to get back into working and helping young children and adults to help support and development their interest in physical activity and general specifics sports. As also a great way to make a change and difference to someone’s life in terms of careers choice, interest in different sports, family support through holiday hunger and opportunities to support their children during school holidays and develop an interest through sport.

What does coaching mean to you?
My philosophy is I will help children within the community and school setting develop a passion for the sport they choose to take part in, I deliver as a coach by providing them with the tools, experience, and knowledge I have gained in a positive and safe environment.

I will emphasize development of the technical, tactical, physical, and psychological areas of their sport making all sessions well planned, fun, enjoyable and beneficial with the longer-term goals of producing well-rounded, complete players and helping each individual player to reach his or her potential.

Regardless of the age and ability level of the players, I will strive to create a positive environment that validates the self-worth of each player and engenders a lifelong love for the sport of their choice. I will listen to my players and parents, always treat them with respect, and be receptive to constructive advice. I consider building the character of the person just as important as developing the skills of the player. I will teach my players through my words and actions the values of respect, resilience, empathy, teamwork, and sportsmanship that will benefit them in the long term.

What does community mean to you?
Community to me is about searching and understanding the needs of the area your associated with and identify ways we can help support, identify, and deliver within that community.

I also believe it’s helping all families and children to offer the opportunity to know and understand that we are recognising the areas that need identifying to release the pressure of support within cost, food, and wellbeing for them that are struggling.

Community is about bring people together of all areas, backgrounds, genders, and abilities and understanding.
